All photos are from tumblr since I didn't bring my awesome camera, due to a theft problem on the island. In fact, the first day there my parents went to pick up our truck and a man was desperately trying to figure things out at the car rental place because ALL OF HIS LUGGAGE HAD BEEN STOLEN. He went swimming at the beach immediately upon picking up his rental car and left his stuff in the cab, which was broken into. Thus, he was stuck with only his bathing suit. I didn't want to take the risk of my brand new camera being stolen, so I stuck with my point and shoot. Unfortunately for me, our "dry" bag was improperly sealed on our first expedition (we opted to take all our expensive stuff with us underwater due to the aforementioned theft problem), so it fried. The memory card is okay (yay!), so I took pictures with my phone for the rest of the trip. I'll get to downloading these and fixing them up for a big compilation post in the next couple of days.
I have big news too! I got a naturalist job in Minnesota working with birds and outdoor education! I'm trying to work out the details while also seeing if there are positions open at CIMI still. Today is Father's Day, though, and after our big family BBQ I get to see bff MADDIE after an entire year in Germany! So today is a day for not worrying about the stressful details of the future.
